Important: Chateau Elan Is a Gated Community
Chateau Elan is a private, gated residential community, and the gate does not open to the public just because the yard sale is on.
Outside guests must be preregistered by a resident for security access. Please arrange your visit with a participating resident before arriving, and do not assume the security gate will admit visitors. A quick call or text to your host in the neighborhood will make your shopping day smooth and stress-free.
Shopping Tips for the Mega Sale
- 1. Plan ahead and make a list. Review this directory, pick the homes that match your shopping list and map your route before you leave.
- 2. Bring shopping buddies. Four hands carry more than two, and a second opinion never hurts on a big furniture find.
- 3. Bring cash. Some sellers accept Venmo, Zelle or Cash App, but payment options vary from home to home, so cash is the safest bet.
- 4. Look for balloons and welcome signs. Participating homeowners use them to help shoppers spot their driveways.
- 5. Check which homes sell which days. Fourteen stops are open both days, but four are Friday only and five are Saturday only, so a quick look at the day groups saves you a wasted stop.
