What do 22 Christmas trees, a golf cart, designer finds and an entire neighborhood of bargain hunters have in common?

They’re all part of Day One of our Chateau Elan Fall Mega Yard Sale in Braselton, Georgia! 🎄⛳️🛍️

And what a day it was!

I spent Friday, October 23, visiting many of our participating homes, chatting with neighbors, checking out merchandise and hearing about some pretty amazing sales.

One homeowner started with 22 Christmas trees, and from what I heard, they may have sold every single one!

Another homeowner sold a GOLF CART! That might just be the largest individual sale we’ve ever had at one of our Chateau Elan community yard sales!

And the treasures didn’t stop there.

From designer handbags and jewelry to children’s toys, clothing, furniture, books and home décor, our neighbors had something for just about everyone.

Join me as I share some of the highlights from Friday, including our biggest sales, favorite discoveries and an important update for Saturday.

Important Saturday Update: Another Home Is Staying Open!

Here’s some exciting news!

2654 Northern Oak Drive, originally scheduled for Friday only, had such a successful first day that the homeowner decided to bring out MORE merchandise and participate on Saturday, October 24, too!

The shopping directory has been updated to reflect this change.

We’ve also removed 2204 Northern Oak Drive from Saturday’s participating locations.

Saturday shopping hours: 8 AM to 2 PM.

Be sure to request the latest directory before heading out because participation schedules can change.

Let’s Give Unsold Items a Second Life! ❤️

While visiting homeowners, I received quite a few questions about what to do with merchandise that doesn’t sell.

Several neighbors would love to donate their remaining items to worthwhile local charities.

And I LOVE that idea!

One gentleman was distributing information about a donation pickup service, but I haven’t had the opportunity to research that organization yet.

I’d like to identify two or three reputable charities in Braselton, Hoschton, Gwinnett County or the surrounding Northeast Georgia area that accept household donations.

Even better, perhaps we can coordinate a neighborhood donation pickup day next week to make it easier for homeowners and more efficient for the charities.

Do You Have a Favorite Local Charity?

I’d love your recommendations!

Please share the organization’s name, contact information, what types of donations they accept, whether they offer pickup services, and why you recommend them.

My goal is to give homeowners several good options so they can choose the charity that’s right for them.

A Reminder About Chateau Elan Security

Chateau Elan is a gated residential community.

Visitors from outside the neighborhood must arrange to be preregistered with security by a resident before arriving.

Please respect all posted speed limits and community security procedures.

Thank You, Chateau Elan!

I’ve been organizing these community yard sales for years, and one of my favorite parts is seeing neighbors come together.

It’s not just about selling things. It’s about meeting people, finding unexpected treasures, helping one another and celebrating the wonderful community we call home.

A huge THANK YOU to our participating homeowners and everyone who came out to shop on Friday!

Here’s to another great day of treasure hunting on Saturday! 🍂🏡
